In the weeks following the murder, a few of us at OKRP united to form Putney—a group committed to making meaningful work to generate positive change within the Black community through advertising and design. Black Shop Friday is the first of such initiatives. The bold and straightforward tone employs a no-nonsense approach that very unapologetically encourages people to shop Black. We collaborated with Black excellence and passionate creatives to bring this to life. Most notably, the typeface Martin is from Vocal Type, and the photography is by Parrish Lewis.
